Swisscom Swiss AI Assistant alternative: onAI with DeepL
Swisscom Swiss AI Assistant is a browser-based AI workspace for companies. Choose onAI for DeepL document translation and Image Studio, from EUR 17 per user per month including EUR 5 of model use.
Choose where your application runs
onAI runs on servers in Europe with a Swiss contracting party. You can request a dedicated server or run onAI on your own servers.
Swisscom states that the Assistant stores and processes data in its own Swiss data centres. The Free Trial terms allow Web Fetch to send referenced URLs to an external provider in the EU. That exception matters when you assess data flows; Swiss storage alone does not describe every feature.

Packages end at 100 users
onAI starts at EUR 17 per user per month, including EUR 5 of model use. Larger teams pay less, or agree one fixed price for the company.
Swisscom charges CHF 149 per company per month for Essential with up to 10 users, CHF 399 for Professional with up to 40, and CHF 799 for Premium with up to 100, excluding VAT. Monthly company allowances are 20, 75 and 200 million tokens respectively. For 200 or more employees, request a Custom quote; multiplying a package price does not establish its terms.

Keep daily document work straightforward
onAI gives employees an uncluttered interface without technical settings. Upload PDF, Word or Excel files in chat and ask questions about them. For material several teams use, shared knowledge collections have access rights per group.
Swisscom lets employees build assistants using uploaded documents and share those assistants. Essential allows three assistants per user, Professional five and Premium seven, with 5, 40 and 150 GB of storage per company.

Use DeepL for documents with layout
onAI has a dedicated DeepL translator for documents with their layout preserved. Use company glossaries and formal or informal address, then adjust style and tone.
Swisscom advertises text translation and rewriting in the Assistant. Its guide shows how to request Swiss spelling and formal or informal address through instructions. Document-layout preservation and company glossaries remain unconfirmed here; test a real document if those determine your choice.

Plan the rollout with the people supporting you
You reach the onAI team directly in German and English, without a call centre. Onboarding and training are included in the company fixed price. We agree service levels and response times in your contract.
Swisscom includes personal support across its editions and publishes setup videos and an assistant-creation guide. The public material does not settle guided onboarding, training fees or paid response times. Clarify these separately from access to the software when you ask for a Custom quote.

Where onAI fits better
Choose onAI if your rollout needs everyday AI tools with direct help from the team.
Translate documents and create images
Use DeepL for documents that need their layout and company terminology preserved. Image Studio puts models from OpenAI, Google, Black Forest Labs and xAI in one place, with the cost visible before generation.
Control access and spending
Admins enable features such as Image Studio, translation and web search for each group. Set cost limits per organisation and person, and review usage by model, feature and person.
Where Swisscom Swiss AI Assistant fits better
Shortlist Swisscom if you want Swisscom-operated open models in Swiss data centres and your initial team fits one of the standard company packages. For a wider rollout, evaluate the quoted Custom edition.
Fixed packages for a smaller first team
Essential, Professional and Premium combine a monthly company price with stated user, storage and token allowances. Under the standard offer, there is no minimum contract duration and cancellation requires 30 days’ notice to calendar-month end. Confirm Custom terms in its quote. This is a practical option for a department that stays within the chosen package.
An eligible administrator can activate a trial
Eligible My Swisscom Business administrators with Swisscom Login can activate a one-month trial online. It includes up to two assistants per user and 10 million company tokens. If your company has no Swisscom account, Swisscom directs you to contact its team first.
What onAI could do better
A deliberately narrower feature set
onAI focuses on tools employees use every day and has fewer features than some platforms. We build custom agents and workflows as a service. Test specialised processes with us before deciding on a company rollout.
