A Swiss provider and deployment options
onAI has a Swiss contracting party and runs on servers in Europe. Request a dedicated server or run onAI on your own servers if your organisation requires a different deployment.
Perplexity names AWS S3 storage for connector copies without specifying the region. A complete cloud storage and model-processing location map remains unconfirmed. Portable Computer runs locally on supported NVIDIA hardware, with approved cloud steps leaving the device. That local mode does not establish customer hosting of the whole Enterprise service, Projects or sign-in administration.

In onAI, employees choose Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok or Mistral from the models their administrators approve. Administrators allow or block models per group. Your own provider contracts and API keys are possible on request.
Perplexity Enterprise Pro and Max provide Search models from providers including OpenAI, Google and Anthropic. Users can choose an eligible Search model or leave Best to select one automatically. Deep Research selects models automatically, while Computer can route individual steps. - No. Ask and standard Search do not consume Computer credits, although other limits apply. Computer includes 500 credits per Enterprise Pro seat per month or 15,000 per Enterprise Max seat per month, with purchased pools separate. Those credits are a different unit from onAI's included EUR 5 of model use per user per month.
- Can we host all of Perplexity Enterprise ourselves?
- Portable Computer runs locally on supported NVIDIA hardware, but it does not establish customer hosting of the whole Enterprise control plane, Projects and SSO. Setup and cloud steps need internet access; approved cloud steps leave the device. onAI operation on your own servers is available on request.
- Will our company data train models?
- Perplexity's Enterprise terms prohibit training on customer content and authorising third parties to do so; provider retention and review exceptions remain unconfirmed. onAI does not use your data for model training and only uses providers that exclude it by contract.
